The client needed both physical and digital promotional materials for her authorship brand and book releases.
I designed a standing banner, double-sided bookmark, author fair advertisement, social media post templates, and mockup photos - all the while ensuring everything aligned with existing style guides and the client's specific requests.
The standing banner followed the client’s existing brand colours and style. We chose to feature only evergreen information so that the banner could be used for years to come at a variety of events.
Here, you can see some of the digital draft options explored during the design process. The final version was selected for its strong colour contrast and readability.
The client needed a bookmark to hand out at fairs and events. The final design was chosen to highlight the themes of her book while also promoting her identity as an author. Several elements were carried over from the book’s original style guide, including the typography, dark purple and white colour palette, and rough textures.
I provided the client with several requested items, including an advertisement for an upcoming author fair and a mockup of her new book cover.
She also needed social media posts to promote the release of her sequel on Instagram. These designs reflected the colours, style, and mood of the new book, helping to visually distinguish this launch from her previous content. I created the designs in Canva, as it was the platform the client felt most comfortable using to customize the templates.
